I have just bought a packet of this stuff following recommendations .......
My first use has been on re planting of some Japanese maples
Has anyone any experience of the product? It is recommended by the RHS and my maple supplier from Holland (Esjveld) apparently use it

    Hi @whis4ey :)

I used this last year when planting a Victoria plum tree, mainly as it was recommended by the tree supplier. Very easy to apply (just sprinkle in the hole before planting) - how effective it is, I can't really quantify - what I can say, is that I have a plum tree that is currently in bloom and has leaf buds enlarging by the day, so I can only assume that it is reasonably well rooted and happy.

Interestingly, the honeysuckle that is adjacent to the new tree has gone bananas this spring, and I do mean bananas - - loads of new growth. Whether that is related or not, I have no idea, but something has given it a boost.

I've tried it a few years ago.
But its a bit of an unknown quantity really, as you cant compare with a plant that it has not been used on, unless of course you do a side by side experiment;)

I did reads some time ago that there are loads of different fungi involved, many specific to certain plants, so hoping they have included the right one for the tree you are planting could be a long shot.

They tested it out on "Beechgrove tv gardening show" the trial was a row of young saplings, and at the end of the trial , no difference between the two :dunno:
