I have had this lovely miniature version of the common Myrtus for several years now but it has never bloomed. Does anyone else have it?

I had the common Myrtus in Bucks and, if I remember correctly, it took several years before it bloomed and then would be so covered with blooms you couldn't see the shrub. [IMG]

I grow this one at work, usually it flowers freely as a young plant, i.e. between one and two years old.

I bought this from Ventnor Botanic Gardens, IoW, already 30cm tall and now it's 80cm tall and wide. It's healthy looking and on irrigation in a filtered sunlight spot.

Hi Lol, start feeding it with tomato ( high potash ) feed this will encourage it to flower next year. I would feed it twice a week during the growing season. David.

Hi, David. Thanks for that, will do so. I think I'll trim it into a nice shape (it's a bit straggly looking) in the Autumn, feed it and then maybe ... just maybe it may flower next year. [IMG]

Hope all is okay with you?
