    A conundrum to start 2024.
On my laptop I have a folder where I dump images (99.9% plants) I take with my camera, phone or download from the web. Periodically I go through them, ID, rename and file.
A couple of days ago, having a spare hour or 2, I decided to get the folder ready for the new year.
In amongst them, I found these 2 files.
    asp-2.jpg
    asp-2 - small.jpg
    asp-4.jpg
    asp-4 - small.jpg
The EXIF data says the images were taken 23/10/23, using a Google Pixel 7a and modified, presumably when saved, 30/11/23.
However I don't have, and don't know anyone who uses a Pixel and that isn't my hand. I have done a Google Image search for the original source, in case I downloaded them, but nothing!
Wherefore did the come from? Where were they taken? By whom?
So 2024 commences with my brain being mashed.

    Hi John
Only that the direction is 126°.
Very strange. I have zero idea how they got on my laptop.
I wonder if they were delivered to me, by mistake, by someone in charge of his reindeer, while D.U.I.

Do you have WhatsApp or other social media? Just that I have WhatsApp set to save all media onto my PC, so other people's photos get stored alongside mine, sometimes it takes me a while to work out who posted them, easier if the subject is people

Don't do any social media. Phone is used just for voice calls & txts.

It is Asplenium bulbiferum, as in asp2.
Obviously asp2 was taken to ID the plant.

I wondered if anyone recognised the ID plate. That would pin down the WHERE, but not the WHO nor the HOW.:gaah::gaah::gaah:
