it is something exotic and a name that you could define as Spanish sounding I suppose. The middle of the name is "RE"

Saucepan lid handle? (Looks like a glass one with condensation on the underside).

Coffee/tea/sugar/biscuit/laundry powder/etc. container handle then, or is it not a handle?

The handle on Ernest Hemingway's typewriter case? (Or maybe the handle on his clock)

I think wiseowl has made a bit of a clanger here (pun intended), because his picture actually shows the alarm clock handle, not the bit that hits the bells which is something completely different as shown arrowed below.

No, he said the 'clanger', NOT the handle.

I was happy (and still am) for Spruce to proceed with next object (despite being wrong), but it was because somebody got it wrong and was told they were right that I wanted to set the record straight, and now for some reason people are trying to be offensive.

There seems little part in participating in this thread if wrong answers are accepted.

Get me straight, I'm not being some sort of 'bad loser' here (as I don't actually have much time to respond here, and I mainly wanted to keep up interest in this thread), but I'm a firm believer in something should be right, and this was clearly a wrong answer being accepted (otherwise there's no point in taking part in these competitions).

You may think it's funny to post childish 'raspberry blowing' emoticons in response to being wrong (your offensive posts have now been deleted), but I wonder how you would feel about another member doing that to any of your posts they disagreed with?

Try acting in the spirit of this 'friendly' forum. All I did was point out a mistake. I consider admitting being wrong is a strength rather than a weakness, and find it can instantly diffuse a tense situation.

So @Spruce , continue with the next mystery object. ( and please do not let anything above put you off posting something!)
