"It is a mystery that has long puzzled cat lovers: exactly how do their feline companions lap up liquids so elegantly?

Now, with the help of high-speed cameras and a pet cat, a team of researchers think they have the answer. "

I'd like to see that. We had a cat that could open a door by jumping up and pulling the handle :thumb:

Daisees: Yes it confirms that they can easily manipulate us :gnthb:

Cats don't have "owners". They have "staff".:hehe: While Holly keeps killing every mouse/rat in the area I'm happy to be her staff.:gnthb:

My cat jumps up and sits in front of the kettle in the mornings, you can't do anything until you have fed him first, which of course is the idea!!!! k-l

My cat had to have all his teeth removed a year ago, so he now relies on lapping his food as well as liquids. He manages surprisingly well.

I once had a cat who learned to knock on the front door when he wanted to come in. It was permanently covered in cat prints where he had made flying leaps to reach the door knocker.
