I will be moving into my partner's house soon, and we've spent the weekend by starting to do some work on the large, but sadly neglected garden. He has no idea what these plants are, and I'd like to know, so I can care for them properly. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

Pyracantha have thorns straight from hell and it's also known as firethorn. Makes a great hedge for deterring burglars.
