Hi WOO, without looking it up could they be scabius? (Sorry think I've spelled it wrong)The other idea is Love in a mist (or are they the same plant? Help brain hurting, need lie down  )

Agree that they do look a bit like Scabius, definitely not Love in a mist (Nigella).
Can you take a pic including leaves and with flower full face, can't say Scabius for certain without seeing the flower centre.

Woo,It looks very much like Sheep's-bit-Jasione Montana. It is often got Scabious on the end of it but doesn't belong to that family, but to bellflowers. It flowers May-August.The birds either dropped it from seed they have eaten or it could have come from the wildflower seed you sowed in the Autumn that I raed in another thread somewhere on here.

Any chance of another photo or two of the leaves
or the whole plant Ta [IMG]

It's very pretty but I'm afraid I don't know what it is.

I am quite stumped. There are various Scabiosa type plants with a similar flower - though not held quite the same way. But those leaves are quite differant, they are so distinctive.
