Name this flower please

    We have this pretty little flower growing at the edge of our driveway.
    Don't know how it got there and wondered if it's a wildflower.
    About 24" tall and quite small flowers.
    Near/under privet hedge, 2nd pic shows the leaves of the plant.

    Wow! that was a quick response Pete.

    So, is that a wild flower? If not can't think how it got into our garden [​IMG]

    definately a Sisyrinchium, although i wouldn't know which one. i don't think its a wild flower but is easily propogated by pulling loose leaves and plonking them into the soil, or so i've found with the ones i have! maybe its come along in another plant from a nursery and its rooted in loose compost when you've planted the original plant?

    They seed around jjordie, not really a wild flower, but It does tend to naturalise in places.
    This is mine, I find its not as invasive as some of the other sisyrinchiums, and makes a nice border plant.
