Hello, Can someone confirm Nasturtiums are safe to eat. I think they are but want to be 100%.

    Thankyou

I eat nasturtiums. The leaves taste like watercress on steroids. The flowers taste much softer and are nice as salad decoration as Pal said. The green seeds will drill a hole in your nose straight to your brain, like horseradish. Not for the fainthearted, but good. Try them finely chopped and mixed with a bit of soft cottage cheese, rolled into a thick slice of smoked ham. Spicy surprise.

Oh yes, yes, yes, yes. very safe to eat. Depends on the color is the stronger radish flavor or weaker.
I have put the leaves in chicken salad, tuna salad, us the flowers in salad. Even use the leaves in sandwiches for that peppery radish flavor, or just good caraway bread and butter and the leaves, yummy.
Very very, good, I always grow a bunch every year just to have some. love it.

..but once you introduce them into your garden, they will be there for ever. Fastest growing weeds I've ever seen :)

Mine self seed all over the place but they are easy to pull and are still doing well :)

I don't tend to eat them, they're a bit of an odd taste so just have them for colour and ground cover.

Next year I'm going to fight the caterpillars for them.

for some rason, I'd told myself that the nusturtium seeds and capers were one and the same....Doh !!!
