Are you certain about that one?

Other small plums such as Mirabelles are commonly misidentified as 'Bullace', which around this way is a small, sour (only suitable for jam making or cooking with sugar), greenish/golden plum, not much bigger than large Sloes, and they have similar sized leaves. A friend has them in her garden and they came from her parent's farm, they are also growing in our village churchyard.

        Bullace fruits and leaves:

P.S. Yes, I have been picking lots of Blackberries!

It appears there's more than one variety of Bullace, inluding Golden (AKA 'White'), that grows hereabouts (although most people have never seen it), and there's also 'Black' Bullace which could be the one in your image. And there's others, including some hybrids, and it's not help by locals who describe any wild Plum other than Damson and Sloe as 'Bullace'. Bullace - Wikipedia

Perhaps going off topic, but it could be similar to the Elderberry, where in addition to those that bear clusters of black berries, there's also the 'White Elderberry' which can be used to make a white wine.
