    Hi,

My first post and i certainly know very little about gardening so please bare with me!
I used to have a nice private garden until Mr Persimmon bought the land around it, now i have lots of sandstone boxes overlooking my garden. I would like to blot these overlookers out with some natural screening, but on a budget.

I have roughly 12 mts in length to cover with soil thats a mixture of stones, rubble, mud and clay. Whatever goes there would be in a partially sunny/windy position, I would like something that grows quite quickly up to 6-8ft but i could cut back if needs be (but would like something low maintanance), preferably evergreen as we use the garden in the winter as well. Some flora would be nice but this is not essential. All this on a very tight budget, just lost my job so making use of my time inbetween work but obviously need to keep costs down to an absolute minimum.

Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed but please bare in mind i am a novice with only hard landscaping experience, the plants were always left to the wife!

    Thanks
