    Bit Difficult to tell from the pic but I would guess 13th to 14th century. Has it got a Chancel as well as a Nave Steve ?

    The design of the church looks a bit like St Begas down at Bassenthwaite - but bigger. St Begas is nearly 1,100 yrs old!

    "Christ Church was built in 1856 from local stone. It is a simple design with a nave and chancel on the same level and a sanctuary with only one step higher."

    I guess that here in Cumbria they build in the same style they always have done when using stone.

    Superb Steve as usual, and a real delight to see that spring is around .. somewhere.
    Having said that I am sitting in my consevatory with the sun on my back and I must say how nice it feels
