I was surprised when this one flowered. It seems to be fashionable the flower at present but I have never seen a white one before. Wonder if it will breed true if I collect seed from the white one?

I think they are lovely Geoff. I gather there are two subspecies N. siculum subsp siculum with a more purplish tint, and N. siculum subsp bulgaricum with off white flowers. Could you have the two or is that just natural variation.

How tall do yours get? - I bought some bulbs last autumn, which are now in flower at little more than 12 inches high. They were probably small bulbs and perhaps will grow taller next year.

A friend has these, and they grow to about a metre! Only seen the pinkish ones, though.

Sorr Geoff, but that is the normal colour for one of the two varieties.

Mine are about a metre. Will label and seperate out the white bulb later.
