My other half needs a tray roughly 3 foot long by 10 inches. It has to be made from metal as he hopes to use it for metal working.

I imagined a large roasting tin that the army might have used but can't seem to find any that large.

Any ideas would be brilliant! :)

How strong does the tray have to be and must it hold liquids?

Maybe a side panel from a large domestic appliance (Fridge-freezer / CH Boiler etc.,) could fit the bill.

Alternative try local sheet metalworkshop who may be able to fabricate someting from off-cuts

The tray is for his lathe he's just bought. It doesn't have to hold liquids but will have to cope with oil spills every now and then.

          Hi there JJ.

Maybe a trip to the local scrap metal merchant?

Best bet is your local commercial kitchen fitting gang. See them about an inverted kitchen worktop. But don't go near mine. I saw 'em first. :WINK1: Cheers, Tony.

Just to lower the tone - the specs sound very similar to a Gents Urinal - I assume Jungle Jane may be unfamiliar with the concept.:sofa:

That's what we were planning to do, but have no idea what sort of product would fit the specs.
