    Hello,

Im trying to hunt down a reasonably priced green house that's about 8 foot by 8 foot - nothing too large but functionable- dimensions should stay as stated! not to bothered with glass or expensive compound glass, plastic will do me just as well. I saw a nice "functional" greenhouse in wilkinsons catalogue, unfortunately they had sold out by the time i had seen the catalogue. It was priced around £80 quid so actually thats about what im looking at paying...

    1. anyone know where i can get same spec for same price?
    2. i might even throw in some mushrooms in 20 days when my crop arrives ;O)

    cheers for any help recieved.

not a deal breaker, but the best offer will of course have the prize mushrooms :hehe:

    6' x 8' Norfolk Greenhouse £115 I think

    http://www.norfolk-greenhouses.co.uk/shop/shop-infopage.php?longref=51~0

I don't know anything about Norfolk Greenhouses, but I have seen their name mentioned often in the forums for "cheap and cheerful" from seemingly satisfied customers.

Mine came off eBay, I waited a long time for them, and they are large (which I suspect means fewer people bidding than the more desirable sizes, such as 8' x 8')

I bought one from "Wilkos" last year, it was plastic covered with loads of shelves :cnfs:

It tore as we were putting it together, we went to the store and the manager offered to refund our money,or we could take another cover, from another box.

We took the second cover and duck taped the tear , we went on duck taping all summer and i did grow ,tomatoes and cucumbers in it,

When i was putting away all my pots etc in December we put over the other cover over the first , and as i had it well weighted down, and it was a little protected by a shed, it got through the winter.

We have bought a replacement of the poly carb type from "Norfolk" but we are still in the construction stage. We have had to move the plastic to the side of the shed where in the short time it has been there it has picked up a lot of wind damage ,The plastic seperates from the tape as its stitched very closely. The door flap is totally gone, i have held it closed with a bucket of gravel for now.

All i can say is i have my seeds all started, although i think the temp is hard to control, and i have plans to use all the shelving as you can just remove the wire shelves for more height, and I think i paid £60 for it so the price of staging is covered in that and i did get 1 year altogether,

They make a cheap introduction to greenhouse gardening but have maintenance issues . My neighbour had a different type it was thick and you couldnt see through it but the same problems .but he was sewing his where it tore as it was thicker like green plastic sacking .
