Yep, loads of new cars are piled up in storage - no one is buying them.

Notice how few 09 plates were around at the beginning of March. This time last year there were plenty (I was one of them with a new motorbike). This year I think we saw the first 09 numberplate only in the second week of March.

I find it strange that the eight 09 plates I've seen this week were all on 4x4 guzzlers...and we're told there's no money out there :skp:...could it be BOGOF:hehe:

Sorry Aaron but I am going to disagree with you. There were LESS 09 plates last year than this.:gnthb::rotfl:

The trouble is many brand new cars won't have been registered for road use yet (as they often don't until someone buys one). In a couple of years time the market will be flooded with 'brand new' cars that have actually been stood in a field, exposed to the elements for a couple of years. Vauxhall did this about 10 years ago. Lots of new Vectras standing in a field outside Luton then when someone ordered one they'd get them out, valet them, and sell them as brand new. That's probably why the early Vectras were so prone to dropping to bits:) (I had one by the way, it dropped to bits).

Doesn't happen with motorbikes - they arrive at the dealers in bits and have to be built!
