Solved Need a plant identity please

    This plant is in one of my borders. I think that I may have planted it but cannot remember what it is. It grows in a small spread of leaf but no flowers that I can observe. the leaf pic that I have included is about300mm long including the stork. It has been in the bed for several years.

    Looks vaguely Acanthus like, but I might be barking up the wrong tree.

      I think it looks like Acanthus too but they have very distinctive flowers earlier in the year. Maybe it is too shaded to flower, they are quite vigorous usually.

        Thanks for your replies. Now you have reminded me, I remember buying it. Problem is that it has never flowered. I shall move it to a more suitable sunny spot. Apparently it also enjoys poor soil.
