I can't seem to get going with my gardening this year think I need a kick up the bum. We've put our swing seat up and I planted my new cherry trees but that's it. I haven't even started on my veggies :dh:

It's the weather - not very inspiring at the moment - so don't worry. I have only just got around to sowing a few things and walking around the garden making mental lists of what urgently needs doing. I wish could be like Mary Poppins and just nod my head and Hey Presto! It's all done :gnthb: :D

    Early days yet, Lollipop.

This afternoon, I've been cutting turf and replacing it elsewhere to make my back border bigger and a better shape. It was really, really sticky and hard going.

I'm not ready for things to start shooting away just yet!

Not even sown any seed in the greenhouse propagator yet.
It's still early as far as I'm concerned, might get going in a couple of weeks.

As to the garden, thats far too wet at the moment,
"too thin to plough and too thick to drink".:D

Early days yet? Weather not very good yet? Tommy rot! Pull your finger out ...

March is the month to start off lots of veggie seedlings indoors. I was feeling "Blaaaghhhh" about making a start a few weeks back. I sowed my first batch of seeds ... and then a fortnight later I had to prick them out ... and I was really chuffed! so then I sowed some more ... and next weekend I'll be pricking them out ...

Off you go ... make a Vegetable Calendar Plan for the year ahead ... or have a look at mine:

Just remember LMRR - EVERYONE else's garden will be nicer than yours this year because you couldn't be bothered lol
..And now you'll have no pleasure from your normally relaxing and enjoyable environment...

    ...Or veg to eat...

Personally I don't think you should get going at all, it makes all the rest of us look so much better :D

Given that the new version of vBulletin doesn't get wrecked by individual wide posts any more:

Can I post my ultra-wide Veg Planner 2009 Calendar?

Can't seem to manage to post it as HTML on my Blog, so tedious to maintain (change HTML here, stitch together screen shots, upload to blog, lah-dee-dah-dee-dah ...

    I'm keen to know:

Germination times - then when two things share a seed tray next year I'll choose things that germinate / prick out at the same time.

Plant out to First / Last crop so that I can better plan when ground will be available for reuse.

Other than that most normal people will just regard it as rather sad I expect!

    Thats cool Kirsten thanks.

I've not even dug my green manure in yet. Maybe if it's nice this week I might get something done. I've also got my table to rub down and apply 5 coats of Danish oil. By the time I'm finished it'll be time to pack it away lol.

Thanks for the encouragement. And thanks Loofah for putting a bit of competition into it lol cause next door's garden is looking good and they're only renting the house
