    Rescued this from a Focus store this morning. Anyone got any cultivation tips for it? Thanks

    Hi Hornbeam, worked in the bromeliad block at Rochfords House Plants in the 60's and this cultivar of Neoregelia Carolina, "Flandria", was not around then. They need water in the vase, bright diffused light and do not keep the compost too wet. As you may know, they are epiphytes as a majority of them are. I can't see whether it has flowered or not as they are small and are in the vase ( no flower spike) but after flowering the plant will eventually die but several offshoots will grow around the base which can be detatched and grown on and will flower about two years later.
