Nesting In Full Swing Today

    Got up this morning and opened the back door and immediately noticed how much warmer it was that yesterday. At the same time almost every bird in the garden was collecting nesting materials; sparrows, starlings, blackbirds, magpies, collared doves and wood pigeons all actively collecting. Even saw a dunnock and a wren collecting moss too :)

    Never seen so much activity at once, definitely seemed like that they were playing catch up :)

    I watched a Sparrow yesterday perched on an Escallonia trying to take off and fly with a huge piece of seed head from the Pampas Grass. It was about 4 times bigger than he was and he couldn't see where he was going!!:snork:
