    Hi all,

When do you need to put netting over carrots to prevent root fly.? Mine are just starting to germinate. Do i need to do it now or wait until they are a bit bigger?

    Cheers
    Rusty

Use horticultural fleece over the seedlings from now until late June will provide good protection.

I would do it straight away, but certainly if you can see any Cow Parsley growing in the hedgerows. (Don't think I've seen any yet)

(You know you need a fine-mesh net, presumably? If not folk here can make recomendations :blue thumb:)
