Nettle Patch.

    And after the wildlife have finished I mow it off for compost.

    Yeah, I do but which one would you like to see. :D
    My nettles are in various places not just one, but I've just cut them all down and put them in a water butt for liquid manure.

    I put them in an old pair of tights that I've finished with and hang them in the water butt too :D

    Yes I have a nettle patch too, but mine is about 5ft tall, if I cut them back will they re-shoot this year...I dont want a big gap left :confused:

    I don't touch mine until late in the year,hopefully when all the crawlies have been and gone. [​IMG]

    Thanks, yep I will leave mine till then..your nettle patch looks so much more attractive than my giants,is this a daft question but are there different types?

    An infusion of nettle leaves makes a great hair tonic. It also combats dandruff!

    How do you make the infushion(is it just nettles and boiling water) do youhave to rinse it from your hairor leave it in as a final rinse :confused:

    All I do is cut top growth and put as much as I can in a jug, pour on boiling water and let them steep until the water turns quite a dark colour.

    If you use it after washing your hair, then rinse it off. The way I'm using mine at the moment is to bottle it, then dab some directly onto the scalp several times a week. My hair seems to like it! :D
