    Hello

Anyone out there ever tried saving seeds of either Hostas or Heucheras and sowing it?

If so what did you do both in saving the seed and how or where or when did you sow it?

What if any was your success rate and if you got any plants, were they any good and worth the trouble?

I cross Hellebores most years, save and sow the seed, great germination and get some nice new colours after about 3 years, though most colours are not worth keeping!

But i never have any success with bought in seed, some years ago I spent about £25 at Ashwoods of Kingswinford on different coloured Hellebore seed packets, about 7 plants germinated, none of which were worth keeping!

    Love to hear from you!

    Cheers :gnthb:
