New babies

    In February I went to Kew gardens and a seed from a bottle palm tree fell into my pocket.

    Here it is now.

    I took a cutting from an epiphyllum, this is the first time I have done this, and going by the new leaf, it looks like it has rooted.

    It's a Hyophorbe.

    I didn't feel too guilty about liberating it, the tree was about 20 feet high and smothered in them as was the surrounding ground.

    Its a nice looking palm, seems a bit tender, conservatory I bet. :D
    Look out for the RSM.
