Which gives the best results for a new wildflower bed, packet seeds, seed bombs or seed mats?

    Thank you,

    Dogsbody.

    Hi,

Cannot give a full answer but we sowed one of the boxes of wildflower mix the other year and lots of things came up, but not all flowered that year, it was the following year before we really saw what plants had survived and flowered well, though it was a rather random display when done on a smallish border.

If doing it again we would probably go for young plants to give the effect we wanted as the seed mixes and germination / survival can vary a lot.

What is the size of the area you are looking to seed ?

Thanks for your reply. The bed is 8' x 2' against a west facing wall in a quite windy spot.
