new borders

    Hi all,
    Just a quick question for a newbie. I'm clearing out some borders ready to replant. I need to add some topsoil to bring the level up slightly. Will just adding top soil be enough to bring the soil up to good enough condition for planting in? Or should I dig in some compost with the topsoil or should I just add some sort of fertiliser?
