My new camera arrived yesterday, it's a Canon EOS650D.

Unfortunately it arrived too quickly and I do not yet have a memory card to use with it (torture!), that should be with me today (I hope!).

This means I can instal a third party firmware onto my old camera now to unlock some hidden features and abilities, which are mostly just extensions of what it can already do.

    Steve...:)

Very nice indeed Steve. You'll not have to lash out on new lenses.
I'll be interested to see how useful (or otherwise) you find the touch screen facility.

Did you claim the £50 cashback from Canon? http://www.canon.co.uk/wintercashback/ Always worth checking as sometimes people buy on the cusp before these promotions have been advertised.

If anybody has a big stash of Tesco Clubcard vouchers (I'm up to nearly £100 again despite having blown loads on a greenhouse earlier this year), this might be a good deal - exchange £275 in clubcard vouchers for £550 in Jessops vouchers http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/search.aspx?Ntt=jessops&VSI=17&Ntk=primary&Nty=1&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nr=NOT(P_Product_TypeID:5) take them instore and hand them over together with £3 in cash for one of those cameras complete with a 18-55mm lens http://www.jessops.com/online.store... SLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens-86026/Show.html
then claim the £50 cashback from Canon.

It's a shame those vouchers can't be used online, otherwise there would be a potential 4% cashback if ordering via Quidco.

Only last weekend me and Mrs JWK were trying to work out what to do with our clubcard vouchers, I hadn't realised Jessops were a partner.

Thanks for the tip off Scrungee, I've just exchanged my Clubcard vouchers for Jessops tokens, got enough for a decent wireless flashgun. I rang Jessops first to check their stock and they have reserved one for me, price matching the on-line deal. This is the last day for exchanging clubcard vouchers into Jessops tokens by the way.

Are you sure that you're not thinking of Doubling Up vouchers for use instore or online for Tesco stuff? (which was due to end yesterday, but has now been extended to 11/12/12 for online use only) The Rewards Vouchers link for Jessops is still working http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/product.aspx?R=1979
