    Hello peter,:D

When i first bought the dianthus it was a plain pink one and was only about 75p! Then the next year when it bloomed i noticed it was a different colour all together with white spots on the petals. i even had a look at the tag that came with it to make sure! I then got in touch with Blooms of Bressingham to ask them to look and see if my one was a new type-and it was!. They then bred it on for me (im no expert gardener lol) and now it goes on sale this year in Wyvales and B&Q plus other outlets they tell me. It even gone abroad too. It is like a ground cover dianthus in the way that it spreads-makes big patches. my mother in law has one of it that is 4 feet wide.It doesnt like being over shadowed by other plants and like a nice free draining soil and full sun aswell as a bit of shade if too hot.Does well in pots as long as the right soil is used but can get compacted in time which kills it off.All my mother in law does with it is rip it apart and start again.:gnthb:

That is wonderful willow and I hope you get the recognition you deserve.

I have a lilac Verbena which for the past two years has sent out white 'sports' I've been told they are called. Maybe I should do something also ..... :)

Please keep us post and good luck .... :gnthb:
