new greenhouse

    Hi
    As a newcomer to gardening is there anyone out there that can recommend a self assemble greenhouse preferably not glass and measuring no wider than four feet as space is restricted. cracking forum. cheers

    Have you got a suttons seeds catalogue.
    You can get one from www.suttons-seeds.co.uk

    I cannot find the plant houses in the on-line version so you will need the paper version.

    They have a plant house with integral staging in there and you can buy spare covers. Or they do a lean to version with polycarbonate sheets.

    It's not a greenhouse, but its not got glass either.
    I tried to buy acrylic for my greenhouse - very expensive.

    Checked out norfolk greenhouses and there is a greenhouse there called ultimate popular 6 but there doesnt seem to be any base unit with it, any idea how people secure it to the ground or will i be able to buy a base unit to secure it to. thanks

    You could just lay some sleepers on the ground and screw it to them. But you will have to watch the height. There is nothing to stop you digging down several inches inside the sleepers to give you more head room. Just make sure it is not in a place where it could fill up with water.
