I have always used a Dutch hoe but as mine is due to retire soon I was looking at the 'stirrup' type, I wondered what your preference might be and why? tia

I like the wolf hoes push and pull which can make it easier and faster.

It depends on your soil. The 'stirrup' type are fantastic on lighter soil without too many stones. The key is to keep the blade razor sharp.

I use a swoe as well as a hoe. The swoe is good as it doubles up as a golf club for snails!
Being stainless, I can't get as good an edge on these tools like I could with my rusty bargain bucket ones....but they're shiny:cool:
