Well, now I've moved! [IMG] I mentioned on another thread that I was being harassed by my landlady because I got a compost bin...well, now I've been re-housed by the Council! And I took the compost bin and all the plants (in containers) with me [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
And yesterday...I put some compost in my compost bin !

I see a mention of Kelmscot on your web site..were you working there when the church was restored in the 90's?

No, during the 1990s I was in Leeds..I think you may mean Kelmscott MANOR, actually, rather than Kelmscott House in London..am I right about this?

Correct leonora. Kelmscot near Lechlade. W.Morris is buried there.
It's just that I rebuilt all of the stained glass windows during the repairs to the church, and was invited to visit the Manor and grounds.

Have you ever visited Kelmscott House in London? Do we perhaps know each other IRL??!!! [IMG]
I've been interested in Morris for years, actually I did my Ph.D on his poetry, you can read some of it here...

No, never visited the house in London. Morris was know to have spent time around here, nearby Broadway Tower is reported to be a place he stayed and penned a verse or two and he was influential in the Guild of Handicraft moving to Chipping Campden from Whitechapel in the early 1900's. All in the dream of Blatchford's 'Merrie England'
