Please does anyone have suggestions as to how I can make my ground useable?

There is a greenhouse base (blown down) in the area where I want to plant.
It consists of hardcore and bricks.
Can I just remove this to a depth say of 6" and fill with top soil or does it all have to come out.
I am putting potatoes in but also want to grow carrots and beetroot which I realise needs a certain amount of depth to grow down
    Thanks for any help

Get as much of the rubble out as possible. More earth, less bricks! I've had a similar problem before and it was back breaking getting it all out so use as many mechanical gadgets as you can to lighten the load.
