I have bought 2 laburnum's and planted them in March. They were both in pots. One has broken into leaf, but the other is looking dead.

They are in the same soil and only a few feet away from each other.

Any ideas on how to get this tree to come back to life. Would i cut it down to be smaller in size ? Would taking it out of the ground and replanting help ?

Watering has been normal, about every week.

    If its dead, its dead.
Resurrection only happens in the bible.

Just give it a nick with a knife and see if its green under the bark.
