New lawn...

    Hi there

    I've had a new laid today. the garden was covered in gravel so we had this removed a few weeks ago. We agreed with the gardener that he'd rotavate in the remaining gravel and put down topsoil to law the turf on. Come how today to discover this under the turf... see the picture.
    I take it that the grass won't take properly with this underneath?
