Hope the police with be policing it

 

Confiscation of the phone as well would have been a better deterent

 

Followed by confiscation of the car for a second offence

 

Are there enough of them available to Police it?

 

After years and years of cuts , there is not enough of anyone to do anything !
Sorry the MPs and Lords are uncut , so no problem there ( I know they are going to cut MPs to 600 soonish . Not sure how they will cope then , poor dears. )

When we go the town we have to drive past the police station and you always see 8/9 police cars parked up and not out policing
One day i parked the car up and stood at the bus stop just yards away from police station, counted 13 using moblies and 28 people not wearing selt belts but no pc around

 

3rd offence, they have to take home a redundant member of the house of lords and look after them for 6 months

 

Which is the equivalent of reintroducing capital punishment!

4th offence, tie em to a post in the middle of an off road driving circuit, then introduce 20 boy racers zoomin around the circuit whilst texting

well the law is working seen 4 today, perhaps some have not go a app for that so there don't know

 

Why not just ban them for a year. Apparently, phone users are now causing more accidents than drink drivers.

 

I've got to say I've never found the need to talk to anyone on the phone while driving, let alone text.
I've got hands free in my car, but to be honest the buttons on the steering wheel are so small I just cant work out which ones to push when the phone rings, especially at night.

I dont think it's actually the talking to someone that is the problem, we all do that with passengers, while driving.
Its sorting out all those tiny little buttons that takes your attention off the road.
