Now, before I even ask this, I will admit that I know less than now't about cameras and lenses, but I am curious, so.... what is the benefits of a lens like that Woo? Is it to do with zooming in over long distances?

Go on, if you want it, stop thinking about it and buy it is what I think do these days as I get older and want to do more things whilst I'm still able to enjoy them.

Good evening @fat controller well its a lens I have wanted since I was old enough to hold a camera, when I was a fledgling;). It will enable me to get close enough to wildlife and get the shot without having to disturb the subject. It will enable me to take shots that I haven't been able to take before. It will enable me to get the shots I used to miss with my 70 x 300 lens .The Canon equivalent lens would cost anywhere from £6000 to £8000 and its the last thing on my bucket list;):blue thumb:

Woo can you put a teleconverter on it to increase it to 1200?
Has it got good image stability or do you need a tripod?
Looks a cracking lens, once you start puting pics on here I'll through mine away!!!!

Then may I respectfully request ... you postpone getting one? That way we have you around for a lot longer. Thank you :)
