I ordered this Magnolia small tree online and it has arrived with spots on the leaves, I am a bit concerned at what it is. The seller has told me its a deciduous tree so it wont matter but I'm worried in case its an infection or something or it will come back regardless if I remove the leaves or indeed spread to anything else

Can anyone tell me what this could possibly be please, photos attached, Thanks 20160610_140912.jpg 20160610_140918.jpg

Hi sorry I can't help identify, but if it is a reputable supplier they should let you return it for either replacement or refund. There is usually a period of around 14 days in which to do so.

    Hi Thanks,

Would they really expect me to return it as they are based in the Netherlands which I did not know until it was delivered. If they did I would hope they will pay for postage before its returned.

If I find out that it is nothing that will affect the tree and it will recover once the leaves are removed I would keep it, they wont even tell me what it is, they don't seem to have an expert to advise even though they say the pictures are shown to an expert the replies are very amateurish
