Well at least I got a reply to my opening post. I will explain that statement.
I'm not finding this site easy to navigate.
Since my opening 'hello' I've posted on a problem I have in my garden ( well where else would it be) but I can't see it displayed in the 'diseases' thread. Help.

@Squirrel nuts Its unlikely you will get many replies in the middle of the day. I am here because my work is sporadic and I have downtime to fill now and again. It might take a few days for other members to react to your posts as they come and go. If you want to ask someone a direct question you need to put @ in front their name as I did above.

Just be patient. All good things come to those who wait. You are in a good place.

I notice your comment above was posted a mere 21 minutes after your introduction post?
I get that the internet affords us almost "instant" answers to queries and I can see how it must feel a little frustrating that you haven't had an instant answer to your query. As @Jack Sparrow pointed out, this is a forum of active members who pop in at various point of the day/night and with an Admin Team who are also active at various times of the day/night. It is rare that any query is answered within 20 minutes of posting because it depends on so many variables. E.G. Is it a query someone knows something about in the first instance; is that person online at the time; even if they are online, is that person logged into Gardener's Corner? So, "immediate" answers may not always appear to be forthcoming However, in this particular instance re: sawfly, I do know that the person we regard as our person of expertise in the matter of roses, has indeed given you his best answer on the matter, which I do hope will be of use to you
