Hi! Newbie here. Both to the forum, and only started gardening seriously about a year ago.

We live in East Lothian, near the coast, a decent sized south facing garden, extremely sandy soil.

The people we bought the house from a year ago hasn't done anything with the garden apart from tending vast expanses of leylandii hedges.

I've laboriously dug out most of the leylandii (39 stumps and counting) and have been putting in beds and borders. The soil isn't great where the hedges we, of course...

Also inherited a greenhouse where I've been growing vegetables and tomatoes.

Looking forward to picking your collective brains.
