    In my haste a posted a query without first introducing myself!

    I'm in the East Midlands with a (mainly) container garden which is walled by conifers and shrubs of various shapes and colours.

    I have some spendid hostas, fuscias, lilies and, of course (as mentioned in my posting) my fig tree.

    Having just received by post and planted four bare root Blackthorns, I'm sure it won't be too long before I'm posting more queries or looking for advice.
