great site, found it only by accident and had a few questions sorted allready, however, with the winds like me some of us will have had repairs to sort most of them are easy, however glass in my greenhouse has smashed, wind got in and knocked over 3 trays of sweet peas i started off in early december(they were in moist peet pots) which have split and exposed the roots.I have repotted them in plastic pots still in the damaged peet pots not to upset the rooy system which had developeed well, the big question is have i wasted my time or will they survive(they were exposed for 2 days buy were still moist and the sweet pes stems looked quite healthy) please help

I would imagine, as long as they look healthy and the frost has not got to them, they should be okay.

My greenhouse hasn't suffered at all (and fingers crossed it won't) , I built it myself 2 years ago , timber construction with heavy guage clear plastic as windows (safety factor due to the little one).

    Hi Paul,
The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago, my greenhouse is one of those little plastic things and it blew off over the golf course behind my house, scattering pots of sweet peas everywhere! It took quite a while to pick up the poor mangled things and re-pot. However they must be very tough plants, as they seem fine and all the better for their ordeal!
