    Hi, I've just got a heated propergator for come chilli seeds and still have a little space left in it.
    Can anyone suggest what seeds would be good to plant at this time of year?
    Flowers for the garden or maybe herbs to grow indoors. But whatever really. Just want to play with my new toy!

    My advice to you is to try whatever YOU like. Don't listen to fools like me who suggest;

    Strelitzia - in seven years you should have a stunning flowering house plant.
    There are some stunning Salvia that appreciate heat to germinate.
    Aloes make nice houseplants.
    Okra to go with the chillies.

    The list is endless.

    Any seeds you've had limited success with in the past. I find the heated propagator significantly increases germination rates on fussy seeds, so if there's anything you like that you've struggled with, save the space for that.

    Thanks, definitely going to try the Strelitzia. Like the idea of growing some houseplants from seed

    I've never tried any seeds before, heated or not, but looking forward to experimenting.

    The first of the chillis started to come up today :smile:

    Don't mess about with UK sourced seed. Here is a good ebay trader that I've used that claims fresh seed......................

    Bird of Paradise was one of the first things that I grew from seed. I bought fresh in the Canaries.

    Thanks! Will give them a try. They sell a load of exotic looking stuff. I can see myself spending a fortune with them!
