I hope its not like when Bill was being born. I seem to remember that telly was dire then. All FOUR channels (or was it still only 3) totally hijacked. I can even remember subtitled messages coming up on the bottom of the screen while I was trying to watch Playschool, Rainbow, and whatever other kids programs might have been on.

Finger crossed for them for a smooth delivery and for the little bundle of joy that they will soon be holding...

I was very much in pain for all my 3 deliveries but so excited at the same time that I would soon meet the baby no matter what. So when i held the little one for the first time it was like life was all of a sudden a big soft cloud and we were rolling in it...

It was certainly painful when my son was born. There was blood and goo and everything. The gas and air was quite good though. Made my legs go all wobbly.

To be honest though, it was probably not that comfortable for wife either.

Ach, I don't believe it can be all that painful really - - after all, most women want to go back and do it all over again at least once; I've never heard of a man wanting to be kicked between the legs for a second time...... :heehee:

On a serious note though, best of luck to them, and hope that the wee one is fit and healthy. I do hope that the media give it a bit of a rest though - Nick Witchell was prattling on this morning on the BBC, and must have said the same 'nothing' story about four times within the space of half an hour! Great news, but let them be and let them have some peace to get used to having a new family member, and give us all some peace too.

Think it must have been about ten times in 30 seconds when I watched it :lunapic 130165696578242 5:
I do wish the BBC would leave them alone and the rest for that matter.
We don't have to know what room they are in or what stage or who should be there.

Good Luck to :dbgrtmb: Kate and William :dbgrtmb: and the little one.......:dbgrtmb:

I heard a saying once that if a man gave birth to a first child there would never be a second.:snork:

Not sure if that is true though having never gone through the experience of child birth so can't imagine what the pain must be like and the pain they cause their parents from the day they are born to the day their parents die in one way or another:snork:

I feel so sorry for all those camping out in those blistering temperatures and yet the baby won't come until either the evening or early morning, nature does it that way.
