After months of listening to Wonderwoman :)(what a gal) I have finally got down to it and changed the vegetable garden into a series of raised beds
The increased drainage should help as we have been becoming waterlogged at times this past year with so much rain and the resulting higher water table

Daisydee ... were there loads of replies that have migrated into the great cyberspace? :)
Ah well ... such is the price of progress..........
They won't be empty for too long. Already the asparagus is showing (bottom right bed)
The rest will be planted with peas, onions, spring onions, leeks, carrots, celery, parsnips, lettuce,
Tomatoes and peppers in the greenhouse

I love them! And I will be putting in two (smaller ones) myself this weekend (a bit late, but we have to remove tons of concrete first). Was the wood you used just gravel boards from a timber merchant or should I be asking for something special?
