Spent most of the day walking through the Purbeck Hills to Kimmerridge bay (known for diving), A beautiful part of Dorset, particularly in the sun.

    Lone Pine.

I love the pine in the first picture, I should imagine in the right light it casts an amazing silouete. Nice rolling countryside asweell.

Fantastic pictures Strongy love the one with the meadow pipit although it is supposed to be fairly widespread I haven't seen them around our neighbourhood.

Cajary, we started from Steeple Point where the remote control planes were and across alot of muddy fields to Kimmerridge. It was mild enough to sit by the waters edge there, not like today!

Pro, it was strange to see the Pine with most of it's branches gone from one side, possibly a lightning strike.

Walnut, wasn't sure it was a Meadow and not a Water Pipit till I zoomed in on it here and saw the rear claw was twice as long confirming it as a Meadow. There are quite a few around here as well as Skylarks. [IMG]

Beautiful photos, strongy ... nice if you can just pop down there for a walk.

I miss my Bucks and IoW countryside but I still love it here ... it's different and it's a situation of what are you looking for and want (you know, because of your Bro).

I'm not answering for pip ... but I sure know where he's coming from. [IMG]

That's the beauty of being able to put photos up here as we can all see parts of our own country that we may never have been to. [IMG]
