That's going to be difficult wildflower to try to give up fags and food together!! try one first maybe?

As for me, I haven't thought of any resolutions yet, my only vice if you like is wine and I don't think I drink too much if that anyway... :D

Mine's to learn to swim! I keep starting to learn, and get enough confidence to swim around with armbands with no air in them, or holding a float - but there's just no way I'll let anyone take those away from me!

    But this time I'm determined!!

Somehow never pictured you as a smoker, Rosa! I stopped the day I was told I had cancer ... ditto with my sister when she was told. Funny, we know people who have been given this dreadful news and they continued puffing away ... sadly, two have died in the last couple of months. Sorry, I'm being depressing here but that's life! Well, it is for me and my sis now! [IMG] [IMG]

if i was told to stop smoking due to an illness to save my life i would have to give up, but if i got cancer and it was terminal i would just keep on smoking as by giving up its not going to save your life, like my friend hers is terminal so she said its not going to save her by giving them up.
been wanting to give up for some time but it is very difficult after all these years.

You'll have to take Pal as your role-model, Rosa! If he can do it, so can you - you can't let a mere man beat you at this game! :D

Thought someone might notice that, DAG! :D

Good thinking Rosa - no point in putting yourself in the way of too much temptation.

Anyone got any words of encouragment for my resolution? I might need them.....

I thought DAG could help there, Dendro. I think he goes swimming once a week. I'm not too bad ... well, at least I've not drowned yet! but I don't like being out of my depth in the sea.

I hope to shape up and trim down with the encouragement of a friend. I only want to lose about 8-10 pounds but the re-shaping is more important to me.
