Newbie from Dorset here

Hello.

My name is Julie and I live in Dorset, having moved here three years ago from London. I have a small back garden which up until now I have used to grow vegetables, however the children are getting to an age where they want their friends to come to the house and play.

I have organised for an overgrown patch (4mx4m) to be dug up, levelled and covered in landscaping material. This will leave me with shingle at the end and a 1m x 6m flower bed.

It is a blank canvas and I envisage lots of pots and colour by the end of summer.

Doing it on a very tight (next to nothing) budget though - getting the overgrown lawn cleared has zapped all the funds.

Hoping to make lots of friends and get some useful tips from you all.
