    Hey everybody! Moved house earlier on this year and since then I've really been getting into gardening.
    I'm really enjoying growing things from seed too it's very satisfying.
    Bought myself a greenhouse last week, and spent HOURS trying to build it this weekend, took forever and after 8 smashed pains of glass and about 20 sheared bolts I got it up! Was only £100.56 so I won't complain. Won it on eBay.

    Hello and welcome, Alan.

    I'm another one who's not long joined the forum having moved house and acquired a garden. So I'm also learning as I go along - should be 'fun' lol!

    Well done on getting your greenhouse - AND on getting it erected. Hope you have lots of success with growing stuff in it.

      Welcome, you have made a good start, plenty of information and good advice here, you need to take loads of pictures, it`s great to look back at what was, and make future plans, we love to see others gardens , it gives ideas for their own gardens...

        I'm really annoyed I didn't take a picture of the garden as it was when I moved in. It was a state. Ah well.
        I'm very happy so far. I've developed a real love for Lupins, they're so beautiful. I sowed some seeds earlier in the year and they started very well. I had 78 potted up, which is now sadly reduced to 50! Mainly bloodily slugs and snails, I've used beer traps and organic slug pellets. But not another creature has started, there are hundreds of catapillers under the leaves of all my Lupins. I'm not going to tackle these creature, as butterfly numbers are in decline and I miss seeing them round the garden!

        Oh and erecting the greenhouse was a nightmare.
        I've ordered 10 sheets of polycarbonate to replace the glass. So I'll have 2 spare should anything else break!

            Welcome to Gardeners Corner Alan. :) A greenhouse is certainly a bonus especially with the changing weather conditions we have now. I've grown white lupins this year for a change and unlike you don't have to much of a problem with slugs and snails.

              :sign0016:to the corner Alan - sounds as if you had a bit of a trauma with the greenhouse but well done on the completion and enjoy the time you spend in the corner with us.

                Yep it was a matter of trial and error really, as I had no instructions but we got there.

                White would be nice mixed in. I've got a few Blue/White, Pink/White and some Camelot Red that I bought from Aldi.
                Really want the Mauve/Yellow like these;

                  Lupins always put on a good display. You'll have to search the web for the seeds Alan, somebody's bound to have them. :)
