Hi, I am hoping to turn myself into a keen gardener and I am hoping that this forum can help me. I have some seeds growing on my bathroom window sill but that's about it!

The reason I have got so greenfingered (as my partner says) is because we are hoping to move house (I currently live on a council / private estate) few people take care of the garden and although I would like a lovely garden, there is little point as it would prob get trashed during the night.

Anyway, my new home (hope it all goes through) has a front garden and a back garden and is in a lovely private street where I know that I could join the neighbours in the gardening sundays! you can hear the birds tweeting and I am told that you even get the odd squirell in the back garden, I can't wait!

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi lelly and a warm welcome from me too. I have my fingers crossed for you, both for the new house and also that the garden turns out as you want it to be. Good Luck!

Hi Lelly - I've just joined too!
Best of luck with the house, I bought mine last year and with it got my first garden too. The learning curve is steep but it's great fun and easier than you'd think once you get stuck in.
Hope the seeds on the bathroom windowsill do well too - what are you growing?

    Hi, Lelly, and welcome!

Squirrels, eh? Don't suppose you're near enough Formby to get the red ones? That would be quite something! :D

I must admit I did think that it would be quite stress releiving! I am looking forward to gardening in the quiet while I listen to the birdies tweeting. the only thing I'm not looking forward to is the slugs and snails and worms eeegggghhhh. Sorry but I am definately a girly girl and they make me squirm!
