    Wow....
That about describes Newby Hall and Gardens.
If you are ever in North Yorkshire and have the need to spend a day in a garden, its the place to be. Theres also the Hall to visit if you feel the need.
Today was our first visit, we did most of the garden and a 30 min woodland walk (we took 45Min) with 50 works of art on display.
A real delight to the eye

Theres a load of pictures which best show off the visual pleasure.
    Enjoy

Lovely pictures Capney. Its a stunning garden, and there are so many different areas to see.

Its so sad that Robin Compton the owner died at the end of last year, as he was very heavily into gardening. He went on plant collecting expeditions and named quite a number of plants, including Salvia microphylla 'Newby Hall'.
